Dr. Nahid Maleki has dedicated her life to creating beautiful, healthy smiles in Washington D.C. and its suburbs (Maryland and Virginia). She’s passionate about it and about advancing the art and science of orthodontics. In fact, her contribution to the orthodontic profession includes serving as President of the District of Columbia Society of Orthodontists, Delegate for the Mid Atlantic Society of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists Council on Government Affairs and she has served on the board of Trustees of the American Association of Orthodontists for 10 years, becoming president in 2017-2018.
Dr. Maleki graduated from Georgetown University’s Department of Orthodontics with Specialty and Master's Degrees and immediately started teaching full-time at Georgetown. Dr. Maleki was a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics while building a private practice at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Maleki started practicing orthodontics full time in 1990 and has continued to the present.
Dr. Maleki has treated many members and families of the Senate and House of Representatives, bringing beautiful smiles to some pretty famous faces. When she’s not working in her Washington, D.C. office, she spends her time traveling throughout the world with the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO).
