About Dr. Maleki

Dr. Nahid Maleki received both her specialty and master’s degrees in orthodontics from Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics. Soon thereafter, she began teaching at Georgetown. She was promoted to associate professor and gained tenure.

Dr. Maleki is also a researcher and has had numerous studies published in such prestigious publications as the American Journal of Orthodontics, The Ear, Nose and Throat Journal and The Journal of Cranio-Mandibular Practice. She has been interviewed and featured in premier newspapers and magazines, including The Washington Post Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Walking Magazine, The Washington Times and Washington Parent Magazine.

Active in professional orthodontic associations, Dr. Maleki has served as the president of the District of Columbia Society of Orthodontists (1993-1994), served as the President of Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists (2000-2001) and also served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists. She is a continuing member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Maleki is the recipient of the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontist’s most prestigious service award, the Devlin award.
